Signing of Cooperation Agreement Between Metland and Bank Mandiri1 October 2012
Jakarta, 12 September 2012 - Today marks the day where the working relationship between PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (Metland) and Bank Mandiri becomes stronger, with the signing of three cooperation agreements.
To support the construction of Grand Metropolitan Mall in Bekasi, Bank Mandiri plans to distribute Rp 250 billion for investment credit to Metland. The credit agreement was signed by the President Director of PT Metropolitan Land Tbk – Ir. Nanda Widya, and Director of Corporate Banking Mandiri – Fransisca Nelwan Mok, and Executive Vice President Coordinator Consumer Finance Bank Mandiri – Mansyur S. Nasution in Bekasi, Wednesday (12/9).
Nanda states that Grand Metropolitan is a commercial project built to fulfill the needs of middle-up consumers residing in Bekasi and nearby area. Total construction costs reached Rp 506 billion, where financing was sourced from Initial Public Offering (IPO) fund Rp 200 billion, and as well as from the bank, and the rest are from Metland’s internal fund.
Another agenda include the signing of cooperation agreement between Metland and Bank Mandiri in the provision of banking facility, Mandiri Virtual Account, to Metland’s residential projects. This facility will ease Metland’s customer in their payment to the company, enabling it to be done in real time. Metland will also receive the payment in real time, making it easier to consolidate payments from customers. In the future, Mandiri Virtual Account will be available to be used by Metland’s other projects including M-Gold Tower.
Aside from business cooperation, Bank Mandiri and Metland are also collaborating in organize a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. In June 2012, Metland through Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli (YMP) gave Rp 1.2 billion to the regional government of Bekasi to assist construction of six additional classrooms in SMA 17 Bekasi. Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri gave classroom furnitures and a laboratory to complete the school’s infrastructure and support student’s learning process.
