Bandung, Tribun – Horison Hotel Bandung Management in cooperation with Yayasan Metropolitan Peduli ( Metropolitan Care Foundation), initiated free harelip and cataract surgery in Bandung (Bandung City, Cimahi, Bandung Regency and West Bandung).

This commitment was confirmed by General Manager of Horison Hotel Bandung, Jopie O Pelealu SE MM, on the occasion of Horison Hotel Bandung 16^th anniversary celebration, Thursday (13/3) evening. Those efforts have created positive response from Hasan Sadikin Hospital Management and municipal of Bandung.

“until now the social activities have helped 200 people for harelips surgery, while 300 people have recovered from cataract surgery, they are originaly poor people,” said Jopie.

President Director of PT. Metropolitan Horison Development, Ir. Nanda Widya added, the effort for abolish harelip and cataract had been done for four years by Horison Hotel Bekasi Management.

“Four years ago there hundreds of harelip patients in Bekasi. The amount reduced gradually after social action held. But we can't avoid that every year there still baby born with harelips since there were a malnutrition condition,” Nanda explained.

West Java Governor Drs H. Danny Setiawan Msi, thought that the effort of Horison Hotel Bandung Management and interrelated institution is a reflection of unity. Unity is a basic resource for developing a region. (nip)
